کنگره -لیندسی گراهام می گوید ایران را تهدید به توقف حماس کنید
وی گفت: در صورت آزاد نشدن گروگان ها، پالایشگاه های نفت ایران را در لیست هدف قرار دهید

سناتور لیندزی گراهام روز یکشنبه گفت که بهترین راه برای جلوگیری از کشتار اسرائیلی‌های بیشتر توسط حماس، تهدید معنادار ایران است.
جمهوری‌خواه کارولینای جنوبی که در برنامه «این هفته» شبکه ABC صحبت می‌کرد، در پاسخ به اخباری مبنی بر پیدا شدن جسد شش گروگان اسرائیلی در غزه، از جمله هرش گلدبرگ-پولین، آمریکایی اسرائیلی‌تبار، که والدینش در کنوانسیون ملی دموکرات‌ها در ماه اوت صحبت کرده بودند، بود.
گراهام به مجری برنامه جاناتان کارل گفت: «اگر می‌خواهید گروگان‌ها به خانه بروند، کاری که همه ما انجام می‌دهیم، باید هزینه‌ها را برای ایران افزایش دهید. ایران اینجا شیطان بزرگ است. حماس شریک کوچکتر است. آنها نازی های مذهبی وحشی، حماس هستند.
سناتور مجموعه خاصی از اهداف را در نظر داشت.
وی گفت: «از دولت بایدن و اسرائیل می‌خواهم که ایران را در قبال سرنوشت گروگان‌های باقی‌مانده مسئول بدانند و در صورت آزاد نشدن گروگان‌ها، پالایشگاه‌های نفت ایران را در فهرست هدف قرار دهند».
اسرائیل گفت شش گروگانی که در 7 اکتبر دستگیر شده بودند، اندکی قبل از نجات کشته شدند. جو بایدن، رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا در واکنش به این خبر گفت: «این به همان اندازه که غم‌انگیز است، مذموم است. اشتباه نکنید، رهبران حماس تاوان این جنایات را خواهند داد. و ما به کار شبانه روزی برای رسیدن به توافقی برای آزادی گروگان های باقی مانده ادامه خواهیم داد.»
گراهام مدت‌ها حامی سرسخت اسرائیل و دشمن قاطع ایران و متحدانش در خاورمیانه بوده است.
گراهام خطاب به بایدن و بنیامین نتانیاهو، نخست وزیر اسرائیل، گفت: «اگر می‌خواهید واقعاً در مورد گروگان‌ها اوضاع را تغییر دهید، به آیت‌الله بگویید که چه چیزی در لیست هدف قرار دارد. تا زمانی که این اتفاق نیفتد، هیچ کس به خانه نمی آید.»
جان پولین و راشل گلدبرگ، پدر و مادر گلدبرگ-پولین، یکی از سرسخت ترین طرفدارانی بودند که خواستار آزادی گروگان های اسرائیلی بودند. هم بایدن و هم گراهام در مورد آنها با نام صحبت کردند.
من با پدر و مادرش، جان و ریچل، آشنا شدم. بایدن در بیانیه خود گفت: آنها شجاع، عاقل و ثابت قدم بوده اند، حتی در شرایطی که غیرقابل تصور را تحمل کرده اند.
گراهام در ABC گفت: "جان و ریچل تمام تلاش خود را انجام داده اند تا به پسرشان کمک کنند تا از اسارت آزاد شود."

Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday that the best way to stop Hamas from killing more Israelis was to meaningfully threaten Iran.
Speaking on ABC’s “This Week,” the South Carolina Republican was responding to news that six Israeli hostages had been found dead in Gaza, including Israeli-American Hersh Goldberg-Polin, whose parents had spoken at the Democratic National Convention in August.
“If you want the hostages home,” Graham told host Jonathan Karl, “which we all do, you have to increase the cost to Iran. Iran is the great Satan here. Hamas is the junior partner. They’re barbaric, religious nazis, Hamas.”
The senator had a specific set of targets in mind.
“I would urge the Biden administration and Israel to hold Iran accountable for the fate of remaining hostages and put on the target list oil refineries in Iran if the hostages are not released,” he said.
Israel said the six hostages, seized on Oct. 7, were killed shortly before they were about to be rescued. In response to the news, President Joe Biden said: “It is as tragic as it is reprehensible. Make no mistake, Hamas leaders will pay for these crimes. And we will keep working around the clock for a deal to secure the release of the remaining hostages.”
Graham has long been an ardent supporter of Israel and an assertive foe of Iran and its allies in the Middle East.
Addressing Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Graham said: “If you want to really change things when it comes to the hostages, tell the Ayatollah what he values is on the target list. Until that happens, nobody’s coming home.”
Jon Polin and Rachel Goldberg, the parents of Goldberg-Polin, had been among the most vocal proponents urging for the Israeli hostages to be released. Both Biden and Graham spoke of them by name.
“I have gotten to know his parents, Jon and Rachel. They have been courageous, wise, and steadfast, even as they have endured the unimaginable,” Biden said in his statement.
Graham said on ABC: “Jon and Rachel have done everything in their power to help their son be released from captivity.”
